This gorgeous little artwork I painted is in honour of Cloudy Bay, a special place I visited on Bruny Island, Tasmania. I followed an overgrown stepping stone pathway which weaved it’s way around a point and led me to a smaller beach. I sat huddled on the beach and watched a handful of eager surfers brave the freezing conditions, paddling out to the breakers with the never ending hope of catching that perfect wave. The smell of the ocean and the cool wind on my face, they are the memories that make us feel alive, and that is what I aimed to capture in this piece.
Perfect for that little nook in the house, and to bring a piece of the beautiful Tasmania in to your home.
